About Coach

I started CrossFit at Iron Cowboy in 2019 and have loved it ever since! I was a cheerleader all throughout high school and graduated from Green River. I spent my senior year of college cheering for the University of Wyoming and received my bachelor's degree in psychology. My husband and I now live in Sweetwater County, and the gym community has become an integral part of both of our lives!

Turning Point

Growing up doing gymnastics and cheerleading, the “ideal” body type was very tiny. That always seemed to work for me until I reached an adult age and started putting on weight, good and bad. In college, my activity level dropped significantly from what I was used to, so I started lifting at the gym which wasn’t ideal. To most people, I probably seemed pretty fit because of my size, but I was so weak and had no endurance. Towards the end of college, I just decided that there were two directions I could go in life, and the easy way wasn’t going to get me where I wanted to be. I wanted to look fit, but I also wanted to be strong. It wasn’t until I stepped into a CrossFit gym that I realized you can do both! I remember at the whiteboard one day having a talk about how nobody is special. There will always be something to make an excuse about. If you make the conscious choice every day to overcome your circumstances, life gets easier! That always stuck with me and changed my outlook on my health and my body. It has been so fun to have something that challenges me daily, but I cannot go a day without.

Motivation & Passion

My motivation for coaching is getting to help people celebrate all of their wins. Big or small. I want to leave each class knowing I helped everyone in some way, physically or mentally! It’s so rewarding to watch someone’s confidence grow whether it’s getting stronger, improving mobility, or even meeting some new gym friends. Everyone deserves to be healthy and happy, and I love that I get to help everyone on their journey to get there!
